Senior Training Groups

We are delighted to announce that Skerries Senior Athletics Club will hold their first training sessions of the season on Tuesday March 21st at 7.15pm sharp.

Meeting place: Skerries Mills car park

Registration is now open membership on the Athletics Ireland website. https://membership.athleticsireland.ie/

Note: anyone transferring from another club with an active or lapsed membership should to this as soon as possible. The transfer window is due to close on March 20th.

In advance of the first training sessions, we ask that those aiming to attend on the evening, officially sign up with Athletics Ireland using the link above. The overall registration costs are €35 per person, combined of €20 federation fee and €15 club fee. Registration will cover insurance and membership.

We would like to ensure that the Skerries Senior Athletics Club is as inclusive as possible. Training programmes include options for all levels of participants.

Important / Road Safety: as the first training sessions will be taking place at 7.15pm, it may still be quite dark. We would ask everyone to try and wear Hi-Vis training vests where possible or other available running attire with reflective material. To ensure your safety and the safety of those around you, while running on roads and pathways we ask you to ensure you run in smaller groups and be mindful of other pedestrians on the foothpaths, as well as traffic on the roadways.
