Dublin Graded Series in Irishtown

Solid performances from our athletes in Round 3 of the Dublin Graded Series in Irishtown stadium yesterday evening. In the womens 400B race 1, Laura Costello finished 2nd in a time of 64secs, Aoimhe Downey 3rd in 65secs, Ellen Tuck in the second of the 400B races clocked a time of 69secs. In the mile races there were some promising times recorded with Eryn Devine running 5.34, Aine McCarthy 5.38 and Sarah Byrne 5.39. Great to see Aoimhe back in competitive action after a year long absence as a result of knee surgery for an ACL injury! Well done to all. Times posted are unofficial, will update post once official results are to hand.

Scoil Réalt Na Mara

Well done to our athletes who were in action for their school, Scoil Réalt Na Mara yesterday at the Cumann Na mBunscol sports in Santry. Georgina Byrne, Sean Emmett and John Fanning all ran very well in their respective races. A special word of Congratulations to Ruby Pereira who won gold in her 500mtr race. Great running Ruby

Leinster Schools Track & Field Championships

Great peformances once again by Skerries athletes at todays Leinster Schools Track & Field Championships. A solid performance from Isabel Carron in the Inter Girls 3000mtrs taking the Leinster title in a new PB 10.18. Rhona Pierce finished 3rd in the Inter Girls 1500mtrs in a tactically run race. Eryn Devine finishing in 6th place in the same race. Orla Bollard featured strongly in the Senior Girls 3000mtrs and was unlucky to finish in 4th place, just missing out on qualification for the All-Ireland Schools. Isabel and Rhona will now go forward to the All-Ireland Schools finals in Tullamore on May 31st.
