Skerries Community Games Trials

Well done to our athletes who took part in yesterdays Skerries Community Games athletic trials. There were many great performances from all the boys and girls over the age groups. A special mention to the following who recorded double gold victories in their age agroups, Emer Fanning (u8 60m and 80m), Jake O’Hara (u8 60m and 80m), Daphney Ndjatang (u10 100m and 200m), Joshua Ericson (u12 100m and 600m), Ruby Pereira (u14 100m and 800m), Brian Walsh (u14 100m and Shot Putt). Gold medals were also won by Holy Diamond Ebs (u12 100m), Ella Walsh (u12 Ball Throw), Joe Rogers (u12 Ball Throw) Stephen Byrne (u14 800m).

North Leinster Schools qualifiers

Congratulations to Eibhlin McCarthy (Loreto, Balbriggan) who came 2nd in the u16 girls mile to secure qualification for the Leinsters.

North Leinster Schools qualifiers

Day 2 of the North Leinster Schools qualifiers saw our athletes in action over 200m, 800m and 3000m. More great performances from all our athletes. Isabel Carron and Orla Bollard finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Senior Girls 3000m while Aoimhe Downey had to dig deep in the Senior Girls 800m race to take bronze, all 3 securing qualification for the Leinster Schools finals in 2 weeks time. Well done to everyone who competed over the 2 days.
