Great day for Skerries AC athletes….All-Ireland glory for Skerries Community College as they take the Inter girls team title, Isabel Carron taking the silver medal and leading her team to a fantastic victory, very proud day!!

Skerries CC winning the team title on 46 points.

Senior Boys 6,500m:
30th Gavin O’Rourke (CUS), 68th Daniel Kelly (CUS)
Well done to everyone, making the Schools finals alone is a massive achievement, Congratulations !!

Round 2 of the juvenile Spring Series took to Portmarnock yesterday. The cold biting wind didn’t deter any of our young athletes who all ran brilliantly, thank you to everyone who came along and to Portmarnock AC Juniors for being great hosts.Well done to the following who all placed in the top 6, u8 girls, Isabella McIvor (6th), u10 boys, Lorcan Devine (3rd), u12 girls Lottie Simons (4th), u14 girls Anna Prior (1st), u14 boys Stephen O’Connor (4th), u16 boys Conor Tuck (3rd), u18 girls Aine McCarthy (2nd), Orla Bollard (5th), Eibhlin McCarthy (6th), congrats!

Well done to our juveniles who ran todays Axa Raheny 800 junior race and a special word of congratulations to Ciara Downey who was the winner of the girls race!!

The annual Skerries AC Christmas Cake race is on tomorrow morning and should be a great fun for all! I wonder who will be the winner this year?

Juvenile Awards night and Christmas raffle takes place tomorrow night Friday 14th 7pm in Skerries Community Centre, hope to see you all there…parents, grandparents & friends all welcome. The winner of the slogan competition will also be revealed!!

Congrats to Ruby Pereira and Lottie Simons on their Inter-County bronze medals with Dublin, Stephen O’Connor also picking up Inter-County bronze with Dublin, Isabel Carron & Rhona Pierce finishing in 8th and 11th place and earning National individual medals as well as being 2nd and 3rd scorers on the winning Dublin Inter-County team and also being part of the u15 Skerries club team who took bronze together with Sarah Byrne, Eryn Devine, Aoimhe Downey & Sive Duncan. Superb runs by our other athletes, u11 Lily Heaney and Ciara Whelan, u13 Sarah Whelan and u17 Aine McCarthy who all had much improved placings on previous years. Great day for the club!!
